Of course you don’t. You also don’t realize that all cowboy movies are rip-offs of Samurai films. Quick draw = Iajutsu, the fighting art of the fast-drawn blade.

This film is a remake of the 60's film The Magnificent Seven, which is an acknowledged adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai.

Akira Kurosawa's film Yojimbo was an adaptation of Dashiell Hammett's novel Red Harvest.

His film Ran is an adaptation of King Lear.

Another work of his, The Hidden Fortress, in part inspired Star Wars.
