2/10 - Another Soulless Hollywood Remake

Is all they could do is rip-off original classics? Doesn't justify its own existence. Why was this movie made in the first place? The answer is money. It is amazing that they managed to make it worse than the original IN EVERY ASPECT.

I went into this movie with an open mind hoping that it would not be as bad as the trailers suggest. It is.

It was lacking all the elements of a good Western. I really expected more from this film, but it looks to me like all the naysayers were right. I really wanted this movie to make me care for the characters. It failed to achieve that. So boring. This movie didn't take any chances, they played it safe and unfortunately, didn't deliver the goods. Could have been better if it was R rated. Didn't take long until i realised that the movie was a disappointment.

The cast was alright that's probably the only good stuff in this remake, albeit not as good as the original cast. The performances weren't bad per se, they were just very underwhelming all-around. There is no chemistry between them and at times it's just awkward. As a result, the film itself does not succeed.

The music was uninspiring and added no impact to the movie. I face-palmed a few times during the movie.

As far as the end result is concerned, the movie completely fell flat across the board. I hate when they take a classic movie and completetly ruins it just because those Hollywood clowns can't think of anything new to make a movie about.

Frankly, comparing this film to the plague would be an insult to the plague as it has far more reason to exist than this film does.

In conclusion, nobody should give their money to these lazy fatcats again. I for one am never paying to watch another remake in my life. I would maybe have given this film a 3, possibly even a 4...but the reason i've gone for a 2 is because I'm sick of all these failed remakes and reboots.

I would rather shove a garden trowel up my own arse than watching this again.
