My little nitpick
This movie is good, BUT it seems there's more action than a plot. Unless I wasn't paying attention, it didn't seem like they didn't really get into the background story of the characters.

shareI have several of my own nitpicks for this film, but I won't list them or pan the entire production because of minor faults that I found with it. I admit that I found myself shaking my head and smiling at several over-the-top moments and shark-jumping scenes that stood out, but other than that, I did appreciate and enjoy several things about the whole movie. The cast was great, and the dialog was interesting, to say the least. I have never seen a Western movie or period film with the variation and use of the English language and expressions that are spoken by the actors. The production values and overall visual and action stunts and sequences were outstanding, in my opinion.
I am a huge fan of Western themed films of the past eighty years, many of which are among my favorites of all movies, and I was impressed with this re-make of the classic original. And,I don't usually like comparisons, but to me, the final shoot-out scene at the end of the film did not have the same effect and intensity as the ones in my two favorites of that genre, “The Wild Bunch”, and “Tombstone”. But that is my opinion, and for all the obvious flaws in the story and script that I saw in this version of TMS, I did enjoy it immensely.
Well, looking to top 'Tombstone' or 'The Wild Bunch' would be asking a lot.
I found it entertaining but, as everyone should have expected, it was nothing groundbreaking or even great.
I did take notice several times throughout though that the stunts were outstanding. I, honestly, don't usually pay any attention to stunts but the stuntwork was truly exceptional.
