With all the Race wars goin on in society today i found it a bit irionic that the ONLY 3 guys to live were African American, Mexican and the Indian....Denzel did a great job as Chris, he can pull of any roll honestly, but it was so obvious racially motivated. I mean the Asian and the white guys died but hey who cares right?
The fact is black characters historically are the ones dying in movies.

I was unhappy that any of them died, even though I knew it was inevitable that one or more of them would. Right up to the end, I was hoping Chris Pratt would somehow come out of it!

And people needed to die. Kids these days think everyone survives these impossible odds in movies and cant handle when lead charcters die. It isnt a comic book movie. Its a western. This is why tbe expendables franchise is flawed. They dont kill off the team except billy in ex2 who only had 4 scenes anyway.

Because of the repetitious killing of an endless supply of anonymous bad guys it might as well have been The Avengers, and all the bad guys cgi clones.
That's how utterly unexciting, and dreary its final gun battle was.
Similarly Fury was no perfect war film by any measure, but it didn't go full retard until the final scene, where it lost all credibility favoring heroics, and cliche over a good story.
Westerns and war movie of old were meant to entertain but had some realism to it. Like this movie. We knew most would die but not all just like the original four M7 movies.
