Blazing Saddles without the Comedy

I liked the movie but The Magnificent Seven is the exact kind of western Mel Brooks was lampooning in Blazing Saddles, and the similarities in the plots were rather striking which made the movie unintentionally amusing - all that was missing was a fake town built next to the real one and a toll booth put on the road into town to slow down the bad guys.

Well, considering Blazing Saddles parodied movies like TM7, your post makes sense, but not at all.

It's funny, this movie made me want to watch both Blazing Saddles and Three Amigos, two of my favorite comedies, again.

All I could think about while watching this was Blazing Saddles! That movie is such a classic. There was something especially funny when they were on the outskirts of the town, planning strategy. I told my husband - they should build a duplicate town. Then, when they showed the bad guys riding in a long line the day before the attack, my husband said, "Build a toll booth - make them go get a sh!tload of dimes!" lol There were many more similarities than I expected. hehe
