what happened to franz
I do wonder what became of maria husband since I am guessing Franz died.
shareI was wondering that myself but read an interesting article on her on the weekend that said he died in 1994 (4 years before the story in the movie begins). It said he was not able to fulfill his love of continuing his career as an opera singer in America.
Interestingly it also said they had 4 children together which was never mentioned in the movie.
