How did they travel?
The lady said she only have money for a dishwasher and the lawyer was up to his head with student loans, yet they travelled to Austria a lot of times with no problem...

shareDidn't the young lawyer get the OK from his new firm, and they advanced him some funds in anticipation of a good settlement later? In situations like this I'd expect the law firm to get anywhere from 25% to 40% of the settlement, or upwards of 1/4 to 1/2 a million dollars if they were successful. Which of course they were as it turned out.

TxMike, you are right, but check your math. Randy and the law firms likely received closer to $25 to $50 million or more, I forget the exact figure, but it wasn't peanuts.
shareYeah, it seems I temporarily forgot how much the art was worth, I was thinking something over $1 Million but now I seem to remember it was something closer to $110 Million, so $25 Million to $50 Million is probably a lot closer. Not a bad gamble to advance a few thousand, eh??
