Sex Scene Was Unnecessary

I felt the sex scene between Ryan Reynolds and Katie Holmes could have been left out to be honest, it didn't add to the plot and it took away from the seriousness of the film.

I've been told that I saw a Director's Cut version so perhaps the scene was taken out in the theatrical version. Regardless, it was unnecessary.

I just watched this film on On Demand (Cox Cable)--loved it, by the way. There was no sex scene so it was obviously not missed by anyone!!! And I would agree; a sex scene would have been completely unnecessary to the storyline of this film.

reply

There was no sex scene on the DVD

reply

Apparently Tom Cruise objected to the sex scene so it was expunged.

reply

I hope you are being sarcastic. Katie and Tom were no longer married when she made the movie.

reply

The orgy was also unnecessary.

reply

LOL is this a joke? There was no sex scene on the Netflix version. It would have been totally out of place and pointless.

reply

I watched this movie today on cable and there was a sex scene. In Europe we are not so prude, but I disliked and agree that it was expendable.

How long was the sex scene, grey? Is it worth renting the movie to see it?

RIP Wayne 'Trapper John' Rogers. MASH wasn't the same w/o you. RIP Tony Burton. RIP George Kennedy

But the sex scene between Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds was even worse - but now I konow why he took the case.

I don't mind about the sex scene, but the part when the aliens turned up to save them from the Nazis was a bit much, IMHO.

Aliens that look like owls? Give me a break.
