Second watch.

The first two episodes are good. The Sun Summoner reveal in episode two was very well done.

After that it's a bit of a let down though. Kaz Brekker, Inej and Jesper are not as interesting as they are clearly supposed to be. Nina and Matthias get a lot of air time for no apparent reason and their story is boring. I guess they will have a more important part to play in season two.

Ok, so useless to watch this then. Thanks

While I can agree with the post above the show is still a worthwhile watch. It has a lot of quality about it and enough to be interesting.

Would you watch Game of Thrones again?

reply

I have yes, except the last season. Every year or so I try to get my wife to watch it but she gives up every 2nd episode or so.

This show is maybe not that good but it has potential.

I found Game of Thrones quite gripping but I know several women who found the filming of women in it to be too much for them and they quit watching. So it might not be that she finds the story boring but more how the women are portrayed.

I started reading the books back in 1997 and I have bought the blu-rays of the TV show. Yes even the despised eighth season ! The thing for me about the TV show was the sheer scope of it and the look of it. Real dragons ! Many of the actors too were first class, Charles Dance ( Tywin Lannister ), Diana Rigg ( Olenna Tyrell ) , Anton Lesser ( Qyburn ), Liam Cunningham ( Davos ), Natalie Dormer ( Margaery Tyrell ) and on and on.

BUT ! The show itself was a pit of despair and depravity. It's a kind of torture porn really for which I blame the author George R R Martin. If I had children I would never allow them to read the books or watch the TV show.

Agree, the show and books are really gripping but torture porn is a good way to describe it.
