Sorry my illiterate, but how does 35mm screening differ from a regular movie screening (if there's even one..?) Thanx.. Love the movie, have watched it three times in four days now. Bought it on Blu-Ray and my 1st Blu-Ray player to go with it.. :-)

Wouldn't 35mm grain on top of 16mm grain result in an extra-grainy movie? I assume that when the movie was in theaters, it was projected digitally.

I took a look at the article, but I don't see anything about transferring Carol to 35mm film. Lachman does talk about using 35mm lenses with Super 16 film.

Lachman also lost me when he said the story occurs during the depression. Was there a depression in the early 1950s? I had no idea.
