What was in the box handed to Therese towards the end of the movie?

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't think I'd like it, but I found it engrossing. So much so, I just bought the book. Anyway, in the a scene towards the end, a man and Therese are standing near the water and the man hands a box to Therese. Who was that and what was in the box? I think that scene was shortly after Therese's friend urged her to put together a portfolio.

I thought I'd like the movie and I loved it.. The man with the box was ex bf Jack, handing Therese her stuff that most probably had remained at Jack's place. Mainly photographs I'd think :-)

The man who gave Therese the box containing her things, including photographs, was her former boyfriend, Richard, the one who wanted to marry her and go to Europe. Jack was a friend, the same man she meets at the end of the film (and the beginning) when she's having tea with Carol.

Sorry, my bad. Wasn't quite sure of the name when writing, but didn't bother check it :-D I just re-viewed Carol once again, and now looked closer the insides of the box; clothes i think.
