What other movies are similar to Carol?
I really like this movie and would like to know about other high quality movies that focus on lesbian relationship.

These are quality lesbian relationship movies with outstanding acting and production. But Carol is the first one created by A-list actresses and highly regarded (and award winning) director, screenwriter, costume designer, production designer, composer, editor.
If I were to pick one from the list to watch right away, I'd start with Desert Hearts. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089015/)
Thank you very much. I'm so excited to watch the movies.
shareElena Undone...similar but in a more modern time. Starring Necar Zadegan and Traci Dinwiddie.
shareChloe (2009) USA. Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried. Another movie title name. Chloe this time it's the younger woman named.
shareOne of the best ones I just saw is definitely this French language film: Soeur Sourire (2009)
If you're familiar with Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher (which I'm sure you are), there's a connection to them with this film, because Debbie Reynolds portrayed the title character in an American film inspired by her life, called THE SINGING NUN.

What is wrong with you? The OP wants suggestions onSounds like you haven't really watched the movie, or if you have, you already made up your mind about it before even getting into it – which totally spoiled your experience. Because if you actually watched it, you would know that it has several things in common with Carol. They are:
"other high quality movies that focus on lesbian relationship."
and you tell her to watch the French version of The Singing Nun? Even with the lesbian subplot thrown into it, it has no comparison with what the OP wanted to watch more of after seeing Carol.
After reading your obsessive comments about the absolutely non-lesbian Losing Chase -- and now this -- I'm starting to think that you've got a screw loose. And after reading your oh so rude reply, I'm starting to think you are a bully. How old are you, by the way? I'm sure you're old enough to be somebody's mother! You should know better than to talk this way on a message board to somebody you don't even know – or even to the people you do know. It's rude.
I would add the french 'Blue is the warmest colour'.
shareI would also like to add one I just saw, the 1995 TV movie SERVING IN SILENCE, starring Glenn Close and Judy Davis. It was obviously made on a smaller budget it isn't as polished as a theatrical release, but it's still very sweet and uplifting.

This lesbian Tumblr blog has many movies listed: http://lesbianfilms.tumblr.com/tagged/lesbianmovies
It may prove useful in your search for more to watch.
From a quick scan the majority are low-budget independent movies -- not the same degree as Carol (but for a Hollywood-level production Carol was made on a modest $11.8mm budget; in comparison, Desert Hearts was $1.5mm).
Thanks so much. I watched Desert Hearts on YouTube and love it.
shareHave you seen the movies I recommended? They're really good! SERVING IN SILENCE with Glenn Close is my new favorite.
CLOUDBURST (2011) is also very good, but it's high comedy. If you like to laugh you'll like it. Starring Olymia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker.

No not yet. I check out movies first to see if the particular movie what I am wanting. I'm trying to watch as many as I can on You Tube :-)
shareAdd this as another list of sources about lesbian genre films:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?rh=n%3A2625373011%2Cp_n_theme_browse-bin%3A2650370011%2Ck%3Alesbian+prime&keywords=lesbian+prime&ie=UTF8
These are films included in Amazon's Prime membership (I rarely pay to watch any film). Amazon is tricky, though, you need to watch out for films that are "free" only if you pay for an Amazon channel (e.g. Showtime) and it always likes to throw into the mix a few films that are only available as paid rentals.

Hello, Ruben!
On that Amazon list is a French film called The New Girlfriend. I enjoyed it -- but it's not about lesbians (Amazon sometimes makes assumptions about foreign films based on cover art and title). Between Two Women (British from 2000) is good and it's also set in the 1950s.
I didn't do the LGBT film festival scene last year. Of those released in 2015, I saw All About Eve and liked it. In 2016 it was Summertime (La Belle Saison), but would only give it three stars because it dragged here and there (but the French actresses drop their tops and knickers at the drop of a dime). Tru Love was released in 2014 and it's good. Kate Trotter is a Canadian actress with acting chops.
Wolfe Video is the major distributor of independent Lesbian films and I expect it will have some of the newest ones available. Here's the link to Wolfe:

I'm looking forward to watching The Handmaiden (a South Korean version of Sara Waters' "Fingersmith" by director Park Chan-Wook) when it's available for streaming by Netflix.
Here's the trailer for The Handmaiden:
