First I came in a few minutes late, when Dom was explicitly describing his pride in his anatomy. Did I miss anything before that? The credits came afterwards.

I seem to have zoned out in the middle of another scene. When Dom is assigned to open the safe, I saw him cut the wall around it, bring out the saw and start to attack it --- then I seem to have missed everything until he walked out. Gosh I must have missed a whole scene! What happened with the safe and the young gangster who gave him the 10 minute deadlne?

Dom manages to open the safe, but turns out there's another safe inside. He can't open that one in time, after which Lestor goes through with his threat to cut of Dom's pecker. But then people from the safe security firm barge in, causing enough mayhem for Dom and Dickie to escape.

And to answer your first question: yes, that is the opening scene of the movie.
