If there was any 'channelling' done here by Jude law it was Don Logan/Ben Kingsley from 'Sexy Beast' and/or Harry/Ralph Fiennes from 'In Brouges'

And I say there was no channeling, Jude created his own character, and the movie was enjoyable. I see nothing similar to Ben Kingsley.
