The first time...

...I have stopped watching a film because I couldn't bear to watch the lead character any more.

Not Jude Law's fault, it's his despicable character spouting embarrassing lines that did it for me. The first scene alone was almost enough for me to turn this off, and the next 10 minutes confirmed that I should have gone with my first instinct.

Please, no-one tell me I should have stuck with it because it gets better. As much as I dislike people saying, 'So bad I had to walk out', I couldn't care less if I missed an amazing twist on this occasion, and I very much doubt it.

Although tell me the poor fella in the bus garage kills Dom at the end, and that'll be another matter.

Too bad -- he became more likable and sympathetic as the movie went on. I would go into detail, but you likely couldn't care less about the reasons why.

And unfortunately, that poor fella wasn't heard from again. But the movie does end with Dom smiling ear to ear, and it was great to see.

I will try and watch the rest ben, if you think it's worth it. But it'll take a serious turnaround to make me have any sympathy for him.

I'm almost frightened that I might end up happy for him!

I won't give anything away stemal, but something happens at the half-way point that changes how you feel about Dom -- at least it did for me.

I say give it another shot. Skip the opening scene and the beating, and you've got roughly 75 minutes to go. If you still hate his character and aren't grinning when the movie ends, I apologize in advance for wasting more of your time!

I agree you will start to care about dom because you see he is merely putting up a front and you do get to see a more vulnerable side to him. stick it out. you may change your mind.
