Opening scene.
The opening scene was to long and boring IMO. Him just going on and on about his penis. Got on my nerves.
Jeremy Lewis: I'm a big, bad, bong-banging bible basher!

Yeah..but that one scene tells you everything you need to know about Dom!
I seemed like his way of coping with receiving same sex oral. It clearly isn't his thing but as it wrote 12 years is a long time. I guess separating his penis from the rest of his body as it's own spectacular entity was the only way he could find a way to let go and enjoy it. I thought the apology for not giving a head's up (no pun) fit his real personalty, yes, he's rough, violent, erratic but he battles against his barbarism and is aware he has issues.

Agreed, tedious, playing for shock value and just achieving boredom. Big slice of ham from Jude, starting as he meant to go on.
Awight we're The Daamned we're a punk baand and this is called Carn't Be Appy T'day!
I was thinking it was tedious and just going for shock value at first, but the longer it went on, the more hilarious it became. If that scene had only been half the length, I'd say it was boring and simply trying to push buttons, but the fact that it went on for so long makes me love it and see just how brilliant of an opening it truly is.
shareIt personally made me uncomfortable (which isn't to say it's bad, I can handle it) but after all that, it was funny how the scene ended, so I think it worked.
I thought it was great. A little uncomfortable at first but not for too long. Then it was funny and described his character. I thought Jude was doing a Shakespeare soliloquy.
It completely turned me off to his character. If that was all I needed to know about Dom there was really no need to watch the film. I started surfing the net halfway through because I never cared what happened to him.
Get me a bromide! And put some gin in it!

I loved this film. jude's character was incongruous....volatile, crude but poetic and funny. his performance alone was worth the price of admission.
