***SPOILERS*** ...After the end

Do Will and his significant other make it out alive? The cult seems to be (kind of) esoteric. Sure, the area they were in obviously had a *beep* of members, but you pretty much have to go to Mexico to be indoctrinated.

So if they make it out of the area, maybe they can survive? Or hell, they could just stay inside the house. If other houses are having their own murder/suicide parties, who's gonna screw with them? It's not like the acolytes are purging.

Maybe I misread the scene and they weren't in danger, they were just like "holy *beep* look at what's happening"

I feel all the lanterns represented 'parties' that rolled out similarly to Eden & David's, or had planned to anyway. So with this, I can't see people going out into the streets murdering willy-nilly. It was reserved to those gatherings, so I think Will & Kira could just walk away safely. Although I'd stay away from houses and keep to wooded areas. 

We've met before, haven't we?

reply

Yeah, I'm sure they made it out alive. Especially with police cars and helicopters around.

You are sin.

They were fine. The lanterns just showed how many other people were doing the same thing (poisoning their loved ones). I'd imagine the cult in mexico had predetermined that place to be where everyone should commit the murder/suicides (though that raises questions as to how they could get so many properties in that place). But nobody was going to go house to house killing, since they were also killing themselves
