When Donna brought Susie home after she'd been treated for burns and broken bones, the puppy immediately began running around the yard and playing with the poodle. Really, after nearly dying, I think the puppy would not have been so rambunctious.
shareI found that that pretty difficult to accept too, likewise with the speed of her surgeries. All that in the space of a night, wow. Then I think of movie-time... it's always compressing true stories like this, to fit the standard timeframe.

I believe that there was a time jump between Susie being at the hospital, coming home and again when we see Susie outside playing with the poodle. On being brought home, the dog is noticeably bigger.
