shareThen get out the vote and get your 2, maybe 3 friends to watch! : )
With the age of "new media", it's easier than every to promote a show. If you post of Facebook or Twitter, and assuming a person has 70 or more friends/followers, post something witty enough and you just might have yourself a snowball! Run w/ it and maybe we can get another season if we can get more people to watch it!

It is the year 2005. The Decepticons have conquered the Autobots home planet of Cybertron.
FX usually sticks with things a little longer, giving the show time to find itself. Maybe if it were 3 or 4 years ago the Numbers would have mattered.

I like your attitude:
I have 280 followers, maybe I can do something to.
I also blog and it made my list of honorable mentions, maybe people could share that?

Well its been fairly steady over the first 3 episodes which isn't common, in fact it has only increased in ratings since the pilot. The 3rd episode of Legit has almost exactly the same ratings as Louie's 3rd episode. So if Legit can keep up these ratings for the whole season then I think it has a good chance, it wouldn't be an expensive show to make.
shareI would love a second season, but I don't know if there will be one. Yes the Legit ratings are pretty similar to Louie's first season. The difference however is that the first season of Louie did not show in the 10:30 time slot but in the 11:00 time slot and it had not strong lead in.
Wilfred became the lead in for Louie in the second season which also moved to the earlier time slot which increased the ratings quite a bit. However Legit started in the earlier time slot already and have an even stronger lead in with Archer, so it is actually not doing great if you compare time slot and lead in to what Louie had in the first season.
Having said that I can't remember exactly which episode of the Jim and Eddie podcast (back when Jim was still a part of it) it was, but when they were discussing the budget per episode he basically stated that it was even less than what the Louie show cost per episode in the first season (although not a lot less). Now Louis has stated in interviews that he had $200 000 for the pilot and about $250 000 per episode for the first season. So at the low costs involved there is still hope.
If you think about it, this show outside of the cast don't really have any expenses. They don't even have a theme song, the opening is usually Jim doing one of his stand up bits but in conversation with one of the the other cast members, the show mainly takes place in their living room with minimal other sets (mostly indoor). They don't appear to be using fancy camera equipment Like Louis does for Louie (Louis has done whole interviews on the amazing lenses he has for his show). Legit just looks like it uses a no frills involved digital camera.
I truly hope Jim doesn't base all his standup as episodes.

I read in one of the press articles about the show that eight of the first season episodes are based on his standup, and from what I have seen (i.e. episodes 2 and 3), even when the main storyline of the episode is not stand up related, the rest of the episode will likely contain one or two riffs from previous standup material.
shareSeems pretty standard for shows like these to get a season 2, right? I mean it must cost next to nothing to produce. Why not? People will find this show if FX lets it seed.
shareI hope not. It is getting better with every episode.
shareNot a great show and it won't get renewed.

you're completely wrong, this show is hilarious!!!!! Everything about it is funny! I like how they're now working in Jim's standup more into the episodes.

Exactly!
On March 28, 2013, Legit was renewed for a second season by FX and will move to FXX.

YES!
Esther: My name was in the Bible!
Fred: Yeah, Samson slew the Philistines with your jaw-bone!
Biggest rating of the season so far for episode 6
0.840 million, which is as good or better than what Louie was averaging at the same stage and similar numbers in season 2
Consistently great viewing ... It'd be a mistake for FX not to commission a new Season. This could be huge.....
shareIt is a brilliant show, I'm tempted to say it is better than Louie. Shouldn't really make that comparison, they are two completely different styles of humour. I love the messages he slips in around the often painful scenes, this is definitely shaping up to be a great series! If Fox can renew such crap shows as Glee then they can definitely give Jim a good shot! Go on you Aussie bastard!!!
shareThis show is certainly funnier than Louie but I don't know if I would say it is better. They are very different even though they have many similarities as well.
shareJudging by the lack of conversation on this board I assume this show will be cancelled. It is all kinds of crappy that shows like this are cancelled while shows like Real Houswives get 8 spinoffs. Thursday nights have been great this season on FX with Archer and Legit. It reminds me of the fall season of Always Sunny and The League with back to back shows I really enjoy.
If Archer ever gets the plug pulled I will not be happy just like the premature death of Frisky Dingo.
