Robertson created false flag paradox to grow time travel department?

I'd guess the first thing you should do when you invent your time traveling machine is to ensure you invent your time traveling machine before Microsoft/Apple/Google agents from the future steal your machine and use it to stop you from inventing your time travel machine, so they can invent the time travel machine first. And maybe you do that by using a brilliant hermaphrodite in an incestuous causality loop as some kind of anti-time-piracy mechanism, probably because the brilliant hermaphrodite invented or influenced the invention of time travel in the first place, in between bouts of the false flag temporal terrorism you set out on because you started tinkering around, seeing what you could get away with changing. So then you start stealing Microsoft/Apple/Google inventions from the future, by killing Bill Gates and Steve Wozniak with your crazy time agent who just happens to also be you and your mother and your father. So you start your own little time agency and recruit yourself into it so you have a nice story to tell your younger self, before you invent time travel, convincing your younger self to set out on the course of events that would ensure the invention of the time machine. Or whatever.
