Doesnt John remember him beign Jane?

Thats the part i dont understand, when John is sent to the bar mission, and he sees Jane get in, then she sits, and then she starts with the history, how can he not remember any of this, or DOES he know that the mission is to reclute herself? And then when Jane goes back, and meet her younger self at the university?

reply

Yes. He does remember it. He knows what he's doing.

reply

And he's talking to himself.

He loves himself. He loved when he was the girl and was seduced by the guy.

But they were separated, and she kept hoping to meet him again.

When he figures out that the guy was himself, he sees that her wish of meeting him again would only be fulfilled if he'd keep the loop.

reply

No, he doesn't remember anything from before he was burned and doesn't recall what he used to look like, he only finds out when he makes his 2nd atttempt to stop one of the bombs and sees his younger self with a burned John face.

reply

No, he knew that future him will come to bring the time machine closer to him. That's why he kept the loop going and that's why he consciously made the illegal time jump. When John burns his face and sees Barkeep come closer to him, he understood what happened, and realized that sometime in the future, he has to come back to this moment to help his old self.

Damn, that's a sentence I never thought I'd write!
