I try not to get too crazy about when watching children's movies because we know who the target audience is and obviously, I'm not it.

But bad acting is bad acting and where the hell did they find this guy? It's like the film blew their entire budget on the bad CGI and they found this guy off the street and said hey you want to me in a movie? Okay stand here and say some lines.

Well, that is literally what happened. They thought they had John Krasinski for the part, but that deal fell through. A week before shooting, somebody found Whitehall living in an old truck in an alley, and cast him for the part. The rest is history.
