Superb Film---Paul Bettany as Vision is the Big Surprise

Paul Bettany, so great in Legion(2009), really ramps it up here as Vision---great movie

He had way more than that, you just can't count higher than 5 so that is why you think he only had 5 lines.

Well, since the same actor had played Jarvis several times before, and Jarvis evolved into Vision, then, no, not "anyone could have played that part."

What does that mean? He didn't need more than 5 lines but I'm glad they gave it to him. In fact, Vision needed more to be honest. He's the one character that needed to be fleshed out more so to speak.

Seeing Wanda featured in that latest Civil War clip makes me wonder exactly how big is Vision's role going to be?

reply

Actors have won 'best supporting actor' awards, with less lines.

Carpe Noctem!

It's no wonder Paul Bettany was aching to be a part of this universe. I had forgotten all about Legion. He may have been great but that overall movie was awful. Mortdecai, Priest, etc. The guy's resume needs help big time.

Vision was far and away the best/better part of Age of Ultron. Seriously, they handled him pretty well. The rest of the film. Well...

I disagree. He needed to play the part of AI without sounding robotic or being emotional. He was able to deliver a poignant line without sounding arrogant or naive.

And? It was memorable. People have won Oscars for roles where they weren't in the movie for much more time than that.

Nicholson in Terms of Endearment.

No one said he was going to win or be nominated.

I'm gonna go out on a limb

Thanks for getting my hopes up - I was hoping there was a noose involved.

Anthony Hopkins had 17 minutes of screentime in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, a 2 HOUR MOVIE, Ledger had about that in THE DARK KNIGHT, the point is its *NOT* the QUANTITY of time its the QUALITY of it! LOOK @ THE SON OF COUL!

I fell asleep during INCEPTION BUT I FEEL like I still saw it!

I wonder how big Vision's part will be in Civil War? He could win any show down all by himself with Thor missing in action.

reply

This movie keeps reminding me of comics I had as a kid and the best of them nowadays. Loved Vision growing up.

reply

He's delightful. A great actor with wonderful vocal delivery.

reply

We need to see more of him and his character.

That Vision & Scarlet Witch solo spin off movie mentioned would be AMAZZZZZZZING. Make it happen!

I accept your surrender.

How are all the Infinity Gems going to get together in one movie? Zandar to Asgard to Vision?
