Two minor complaints

I really really enjoyed this movie. It is great fun to watch multiple times. I don't see any major flaws with it, though if I were to nitpick, I'd say two things bugged me a little bit.

1. Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff casting: Personally I just didn't see Aaron Taylor Johnson as Quicksilver. He is a very good actor no doubt, but I found him to be a bit "buff" for a guy has has super speed/hyper metabolism. When someone says that a guy is really fast, the image that comes to my mind is someone like Bruce Lee, lean and sinewy. More fast muscle fibres than bulky muscles.

2. Friday casting: I was rather let down by the voice actress of Friday. Compared to JARVIS, Friday has very little to no character. She was a very forgettable "voice". Even the way she said certain lines just didn't fit in with the situation. Like the way she says, "Sokovia is going for a ride". Just didn't quite click with me.

2) I actually liked the way she delivered that line. Very understated. Like when something big happens, and a person can only respond with a whispered, "Oh no."

I had no problem with the casting. He wasn't always fast so it can easily be explained that he was already buff before getting super speed. Also, they never delved into the whole metabolism = need to eat a lot / super skinny aspect. If they did, then it would have been just as lame as The Flash making a big deal out of it only once or twice a season.

As far as Friday goes, it seems like this is the first time Tony is really using her. She's not had time to develop her own personality. Plus, she's doing so in a very stressful situation.

But, at least you admit they are minor complaints and not going bat-sh!t crazy about them.

I can see your point on expecting a speedster to be super think/lanky but ATJ worked for me. Particularly his actual acting as a cocky guy who deep down just wants to help people and a super-overprotective brother.

The Friday voice was a bit heavy on the accent for me. I had a few moments on first viewing where I couldn't quite make out what she said. Though now I'm used to it.

There's also irony in her sounding like a redhead when Tony is on the outs with Pepper.
