Question about theatrical release

Was Thor's vision in the theatrical release? I only saw it in theaters once so I may just not remember properly but I do not recall the actual vision. I remember him going into the waters and that's it. So I was quite surprised when watching the dvd last night to see the vision portion as the only place I remember seeing it was in the trailer. In fact I remember being confused coming out of the movie because I had seen it in the trailer but not in the movie. Am I crazy?

Yes, it was in the theatrical release.

Agent Hill: ...Then aliens invaded New York and were beaten back, by among others, a giant green monster, a costumed hero from the 40's.... and a god.

Agent Ward: I don't think Thor is technically a god.

Hill: Well...you haven't been near his arms.

ok thanks! I guess I just don't remember

Thor's actual vision was. The extended clip with Selvig, which showed more, was a deleted scene.

reply

Not entirely. Some of it was still in the final cut.

Yeah, that's what I meant...that the extended scene showed more of everything, including Selvig at the university.

There were parts in the trailer that were not in the theatrical release. There's an extended "reflecting pool" scene on the bluray that contains some parts that were in some trailers. Could be what you're thinking of.

But yes, his vision when Nat and Cap are having theirs is in the film. As is a shortened version of him finding Selvig outside the university and them going to the reflecting pool together.

Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
