I seen it five times and It is great.

I absolutely love Age of Ultron. I found it different then the first Avengers but not worse or better just different.

I agree why kill of anyone? A team was my favorite show and nobody ever died. Just fun action.

reply

Fun is dun but losing people jives with real life and adds depth and meaning to the action.

reply

I've seen it many many times myself. It's truly a film that holds up well under multiple views. Nothing released this year can say the same thing so far.

reply

I can only agree 👍

I have seen Chappie 4 times, Jurassic World 3 times and Fury Road 5 times.. only saw AoU twice and regretted the second viewing, wish I would have given my money to something more worthy like Ex Machina which I have seen twice now.

Of all the things I've lost.. my signature I miss the most.

reply

So you're saying you like rewatching mediocre movies over good ones? Well, i'll give you Fury Road though, that was great.

reply

If you wtch chappie with the right outlook it's great, and if you read the interviews and understand that setting they were going for it works.. look at it as Short Circuit on steroids.

There is nothing to see here folks.. move along now.

reply

I saw it as a kind of love letter to Short Circuit and Robocop, which i kinda liked about it. I did like some aspects, but many others were just horribly executed, poorly acted or copying Short Circuit or Robocop too much, to the point where i wished i was watching those, instead of Chappie. I would have been fine with a little nod to those movies once in awhile, but it went far beyond that, that it didn't really feel like a movie that could stand on it's own feet.

But because of the things i liked about it, i call it mediocre instead of horrible or even just bad. But i actually gave it a slightly above mediocre rating (Which would amount to a 6 here on imdb i think) - which is more than i can say for Jurassic World - because the things i liked about Chappie, i liked very much. Unfortunately there was just a bunch of stuff to hate or dislike as well, and those things, i really really hated.

With AoU, there was a lot of things where i just felt meh, but the things i liked, i liked very much. There was a lot of meh moments as well, but nothing that i really hated, except for the fact that they cut a lot of scenes that would have helped the meh moments.

With Jurassic World, the whole movie was just meh, with few bits i hated. The only bits i liked, was when they played the original theme, but unfortunately it just reminded me even more of how this wasn't anywhere near the quality of the original.

Johnny Five took his name from Ultron 5 in the Avengers books.

reply

That's a hop skip and a jump away.

"Great" is better than "Good" right?

Just checking.

reply

This reminds me that I need to watch this movie again. It's situated perfectly before Civil War when the team was still a full team.

reply

The word "great" is used a lot to describe this film by many fans, critics and general movie goers for a reason. Don't let the false bad mouthing from a few trolls fool you.

And the complete opposite has been said by fans, critics and general movie goers as well..

21 million less people watching AoU than Avengers says enough.

You Marvel sheep are so one sided.

Of all the things I've lost.. my signature I miss the most.

reply

It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.

reply

I watch this as much as I watch Winter Soldier. Can't get enough of those films.

reply

Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.

You may delay, but time will not.

In Captain America: Civil War, Anthony and Joe Russo have delivered Marvel’s most amazing film to date and given how great most of them have turned out...

reply

Well, Captain America: Civil War combines the thrills of a summer popcorn spectacular with the craftsmanship of a more ambitious picture. This movie had better be remembered come award season next year.

reply

Loved the movie, even if some of us wish Ultron had done more and been more fleshed out so to speak.

Well, which Marvel character are you?

reply

What seeing it more than once does is give time to break down just how brilliant the writing was for this film. So much to handle.

reply

Each new Marvel film adds depth to the last. Except maybe GOTG that's a stand alone but it did feature Thanos and the dude with six fingers from Avengers was dispatched by Ronan.

Another home run for the Marvel team!

Civil War... BATTER UP!

I liked "Age of Ultron" more than the first Avengers.
Though I rate both 9/10.

More top notch story telling by Joss Whedon.

BB ;-)

it is just in my opinion - imo - 🌈

reply

9/10 is honestly as low as anyone should go on either film. Anyone voting them lower has an agenda.

I've paid to see this at least a dozen times. At the least, maybe I'll go count my ticket stubs and find out the real number?

OT but a concern... When the Federal Reserve drove its target interest rate near zero in late 2008, it sparked an economic debate about the risks of having nowhere lower to go, and in particular the financial bubbles it might stoke.
Six years later few bubbles are in sight, but a new risk has emerged: that the zero has become an effective anchor on interest rates that is proving far more difficult to abandon than the Fed expected.

Three major central banks have hit the zero limit, the Fed, the European Central Bank and the Bank of Japan. None have successfully escaped it and the ECB looks set to extend its money printing program.

Though Fed officials insist the United States can and will eventually break ranks with the rest of the pack and hike rates, their latest decision to hold on Thursday came laced with caution about the new butterfly-effect economy – where a market ripple in China could tighten financial conditions in the United States and change the course of the Fed.

reply

I disagree, could you please elaborate on that ?

Age of Ultron works on all of its own terms, there's no weighted enjoyment or cinematic slumming involved in enjoying it. It really IS a smart action film and the cast really delivered as expected. With this exceptional cast involved, how could it not? Much like the first, Whedon knew who his aces were and how to play them. That’s not to say every major character didn’t shine at one point it’s just that when the beats mattered, Whedon threw his writing weight behind certain characters. I also LOVED what he did with Ultron and how much of a home run James Spader hit. Following Loki with Ultron is a masterful move. Again, like the first Avengers this is truly a remarkable movie treat and I'm glad to see that the majority of film fans agree with me. Where it greatly differs from the first film is in tone and intensity. It’s a darker film and thus, delivers more gravitas. The movie works on so many levels and makes you draw on absolutely ALL of your emotions. The similarities to the first film are many and mark my words you will again leave the theater smiling and completely wanting more just like you did in 2012. See it again while its still playing. Do yourself that favor.
