Who wants Quicksilver to come back?

I know I do! He's a big character in the comics, and not only that---he's an AVENGER. He was in this movie for a reason. Aaron Taylor-Johnson's portrayal was spot on in my opinion, and I'm not at all happy with the way Joss Whedon handled him in this movie.

And, you've got to admit it's kind of awkward seeing Wanda running around by herself in Civil War...

But in all seriousness, yes I do want him to come back.

I'm not sure. The problem with something like this is, either way you go, people hate it.

They can't keep him dead because fanboys'll be riding their a** for years to come about how they wasted a good character.

But they can't bring him back because then the old "death has no meaning in the MCU" excuse pops us again, despite the fact that the whole reason he was killed was to stop these complaints.

Overall, yeah, I did like the character and wouldn't mind seeing him again. But like the Justice League movie having more jokes, I want his resurrection to be a conclusion that naturally evolved from the story, instead of just doing it because people complained about it.

Brought up some pretty good points there ;)

And, lol. I like your signature.

Funny coincidence too since it was Quicksilver's actor who originally said it.

Like, immediately!

Not me. He was a wise ass and his sister was a pain in the ass to the whole team. I wish they both had died.

reply

They couldn't have stopped Ultron without Wanda and Pietro's death is what pushed towards being able to stop him.

Doesn't change the fact that what he said is true. He was unlikeable.

Plus, like someone else said, bringing him back would be so lame considering the fact that one of the biggest complaints people have about the MCU is that, no matter how big the danger may seem, there never seems to be any real consequences.

So now that they killed one of the "main" characters (which, let's be honest, wasn't even that important) you guys want him back? C'mon.

reply

He was unlikeable.
Subjective. He was arguably the truest hero on the team. He managed to put his own pain to one side for the greater good. Because of that, a woman and three children still have their father and husband.

The only people who think that are the ones not paying attention.

Consequences meaning death. I know Rhodes can't walk and Cap is a fugitive, etc, etc...

reply

Death is usually a cheap way of making audience gasp in surprise. I don't mind them killing off characters as long as there's a very good reason for it.

I so much prefer this Quicksilver to the one in X-men, an irresponsible brat abusing his power and taking everything with a smile of disdain ...
This QS was serious, feeling responsible for his sister and seeking revenge. In the comics QS is a very cold ans serious character, son of worldwide known an evil mutant (Magneto), his anger led to Scarlet Witch suppressing all mutant powers. So yeah he's not a likeable guy, but he's a very interesting character.
Of course in the comics, heroes or villains don't stay dead (except when noone cares about them anymore). You think the Marvel movieverse is different? What about Coulson? Bucky? Groot? ... So Quicksilver coming back is not impossible.
