The Force Awakens vs Age of Ultron?
In your honest opinion, which is the better movie between these two 2015 heavyweights?

shareAvengers. I HATED TFA.
sharePersonally, I believe that all those Oscar nominations that went to TFA, should've gone to AoU... AoU deserved them way more... And honestly, AoU was better than TFA in almost every way, if not in fact, every way.
shareWhat? Have you lost it...
Film Editing and visual effects maybe
Sound effects, and mixing was bad
Score was horrible
Age of Ultron.
Time to make up a new signature.
Age of Ultron wasn't the best sequel in the history of sequels, but I would much rather watch it than TFA. The new movies in the Star Wars franchise are not treated by me as canon.

TFA.
"Relics of ancient times. Lonely cenotaphs. Standing along that melancholy tideland."
I have issues with aou, but most of them are in the second act. If a movie finishes with a strong 3rd act it greatly affects my opinion. I think aou has a great 3rd act and tfa 3rd act is it's weakest.

Liked AoU and I'm more of a Marvel guy than a Star Wars guy but I would have to say TFA was at least a slightly better film.
shareThere was a lot to like about TFA but the we have to destroy the Death Star plot left me cold. I still prefer AoU.
In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.
TFA was a better structured movie overall, it had a story that made sense, better charatcers, and a better villan.
sharecold points bro.
but I have to say, as much as I love TFA (hell it's my second favorite of the franchise), Avengers 2 is my favorite. I found it more entertaining, with more intresting dialog and development. I could argue that AOU makes sense and TFA doesn not, honestly though, both film had flaws, i just don't really care. To say taht a film having better characters than the other one is subjective. Personally, I like Kylo rhen as much as Ultron, and to be fair, their not ment to be put in the "who's film villian is the most menecing contest". One is a young, lost and lonely man that was seduced to do the bitting of Snoke, and the other one is an AI that was so smart and yet naive at the same time, a program with the fellings and mind of a human being that thought that was doing the right thing; tbh, those two guys are miles away more intresting than inmortal joeniric villian (AKA less intresting and menecing mad max's darth vader). but what made not give the force awakens not a 10/10, was the rehash death star plot ( if it wasn't already used in jedi'), while the finale og Age of Ultron does come to be a rehash of the first avenegers, the 3rd act isn't happening for the same reasson and is not "villian wants to conquer the world even if he knows that ir wrong and yet he doesn't care because he thinks is cool", since Ultron genually belives that he is right, that this is the "ugly choice" that the world made ultron made.
but again, my opinion.
