Extremely incoherent plot

Watched it for the second time. Didn't help.

The plot is so incoherent that I don't even think the writers knew where they were going with it.

I have so many questions still and I don't even know where to begin........

- The bad guy Primo at the Matera... He was working for Spectre trying to kill Bond, but later he was working for Safin?
- Why did Leiter contact Bond? Was it a "set up" by Logan Ash?
- So Bond can just "walk" into a Spectre meeting?
- When Obrechev purposely switched the vial at the Spectre meeting. Primo was supervising him but had no idea. So Primo was still working for Spectre then?
- How did Spectre knew that Bond was going to be at that Spectre meeting?
- Just exactly how is Safin "connected" to Bond? Safin seems to be a random villain that is not necessarily linked to anything.
- What was Safin's plan with Madeleine and Matilde anyway?
- Just exactly what was Safin's ultimate plan?

Probably more questions that I still haven't thought of yet....

There were so many elements in this film but nothing connects anything to one another.

Just like the previous ones then

These films are not documentaries. Its best to just ignore the plot holes

Films these days just don't care. Every film is a small business with lots of people to pay that do stuff. It's a business design to claim failure after a year, and close down. That's it. They don't give a shit about whatever the film is about.

"Write anything, slap name on, people will pay for it. "

we need to collectively stop paying for it. We support shit, well keep getting shit.

On topic, yes this was a train wreck.i should have asked for a refund.

Which is just bizarre if you think about it... writing is just about the cheapest part of a production and good writing can't be so much more expensive than bad writing.

The script for this movie is basically just a ‘connect the dots’ kind of thing where the writers have just found a lazy way to wrap everything up in this movie even if it means the movie becomes unnecessarily convoluted and doesn’t make any sense.

It’s like they went ‘We need Felix and Bond working together, Felix has to die, we need a henchman, we need someone to betray Bond, we need a creepy villain with a world ending plan and a connection to Madeline, we need to kill off Blofeld and Spectre, we need some scenes with Q, M and Moneypenny, we need some action scenes and we need to kill of Bond.’

They didn’t care if any of it made sense, there’s not a solid structure or logic to a lot of how the movie progresses it’s very much ‘whatever, stuff happens and it ends.’

Despite all that though I think the movie is well directed and Craig gives a great performance and it’s enough for it to just about get by. NTTD could have been something fantastic though if the writers had actually given a crap about telling a coherent story. They really just used the directing and Craig’s performance as a crutch to compensate for the mess of a script here.

Also script production on this was an absolute mess. You had Purvis and Wade write a script only for it to be scrapped and John Hodge started writing a new script based on Danny Boyle’s idea only for both of them to leave due to disputes over the script. Then they brought back Purvis and Wade to write a new script with Fukunaga and that script then went through rewrites from Paul Haggis and Phoebe Waller- Bridge. Even then Fukanaga admitted they were still rewriting the script during filming. So really it’s no surprise we got what we got haha.

Should have sent Safin some kind of medal for wiping out Spectre.

Some questionable tactical moves by Bond too:

1. Wearing a white shirt on a tactical raid. Why not just paint a bullseye on his back?
2. Using up his sidearm ammunition to draw people in his direction. (They heard the first shot or two, no need to use them all.)
3. Running into a clearing when he hears a helicopter. What if they had a sniper on board?
