The blast doors...? [spoilers]

I didn't see how or where Bond reopened the blast doors, which when closed, they said, would cause the missiles to bounce off. Did I miss it?

Regarding Bond's demise, Craig's portrayal begins with Bond's first kills & promotion to 00 status. So no reference whatever to the previous incarnations. So why not close out his portrayal this way?

Maybe he feared doing a Sean Connery & returning for another go.

I don't think the series, if it does indeed continue, will have any believability issues recasting Bond for a new set of adventures.

He was shown throwing the huge counterweight lever that he did to open the doors the first time, albeit from a different angle.

Thanks for pointing out the full arc of Craig’s Bond films though … the significance of it hadn’t occurred to me before you pointed it out.

It’s obvious Eon didn’t plan it that way, but taken as a whole, the five films constitute satisfying saga of the master spy’s complete “00” career.

Besides, someone like Bond probably wouldn’t be content with a happy ending anyway. Saving the world in general while saving his own child and her mother? Heck, even I could be happy with that kind of ending.

Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, as I think on it, consider that all of the Bond adventures could be said to have taken place after Casino Royale, while any subsequent Bond adventures will take place before No Time To Die. Craig's tenure merely bookmarked the series.

reply

My ass.
Craig will be revealed to be an impostor.
The real Bond happens outside of this thug alternate missions and pathetic imitation.
We saw this thug believing to be the man, while his beginning and death and everything in between reveal he is anything BUT Bond.

Pierce Brosnan still looks great. One more time...

TandyMan needs to see THIS movie made:

Reminds me: I was happy to spot portraits of Judy Dench and Robert Brown in M's hallway, but was disappointed they didn't fit one in of Bernard Lee

Who doesn't?
Million times better than what we got in the past decade.

reply

Oh, fuck off, I couldn't STAND Brosnan.

reply

He throws open the doors again right before he climbs up the ladder to the roof. It's a pretty quick shot.

reply

Blast doors? Does this Bond take place in the Star Wars universe or is there actually such thing as a blast door? I thought it was nonsense Lucas invented for Star Wars...

Love the sarcasm.
