$20 to RENT on Amazon Prime
Are they out of their minds?
shareNo, I don't think so.
I'll buy the bluray when its on sale at least 50% off. If the movie is absolute crap and I don't wish to watch it never again, I can always give it away.

That's the thing, so many people are against going to movie theaters they just want to watch everything at home. Plus, if it's 2 or more people they know they're saving $ than going to the theater.
I wouldn't be surprised if EON makes another 50 million by having in on Amazon Prime but no way will I pay $20 I'd do $10 though.
Would you buy it if you could buy it for $20? I'd probably not watch it again after the first time, but at least I could if I wanted to.
shareI see the Blu-Ray(Dec 21st release) is $25 on Amazon and the DVD is a couple of dollars more than that. Even though it's a few dollars more I definitely think buying it is still the better deal. Streaming for more than $10 isn't for me but I can understand families/large gatherings etc. being more acceptable.
shareThe idea with these high online rental prices (and similar with the $30 cost for new movies on Disney+) is that you will be watching with a group of people such as your family, so it could be a good deal compared to going to the theater. But if you're watching by yourself, it's not such a good deal.
shareThat's what they do now ... same on the AppleTV network.
You cannot buy the movie, you have to rent it for what I think must be over the price of an admission ticket to the movie.
So, I have to content myself with just watching the trailers. Actually I am not a Bond fan at all, but the look and feel of this movie caught my eye. That doesn't mean I am going to shell out cash for it, but when it shows up on streaming or at a reasonable price I might take a look at it. Pretty amazing effects and the music is stirring. It looks fun, and who doesn't love to hate Rami Malek?
Well yeah, that’s the way it’s been in the pandemic era with all/most theatrical releases. It’s eventually gonna go down, though. I mean this film came out a little over a month ago, and yet now it’s available to rent at home for $20? Big theatrical films (let alone franchise films) dropping that soon on VOD was unheard of pre-2020; the 90-day theatrical window is no longer the norm.
So yeah, the price to rent it will be significantly less (go back to normal) in maybe no more than 2 months from now. The current price is fair all things considered.
Nope. Way cheaper for 3 people to stream this than go to the theater which is currently closed where I live. Even if they were open it would be about $50.
shareI'll rent it on Blu ray when it comes out for 3 bucks.
