Jerome and Marcel

There have been a few thoughts about why Michael Pas replaced Shia as Jerome.
But what if he didn't? Time has moved on and Joe is about 50 years of age when she is setting P out on her own to chase down her first job. We don't know what went on in respect to P's negotiations with "Jerome" over his repayment only that she had arranged a suitable payment plan.

So when did Joe have her baby Marcel? In her early 20's. So her son Marcel would be all grown up now and would have been in his late 20's maybe even 30 or so. Now I recall that she made sure that he received regular payments to support him. But what if he had found his way back to his father's place and is actually the one who meets P? He may have arranged a suitable payment plan to help his father Jerome, given that he had accumulated funds from his mother Joe over time. The irony of the debt collector P receiving money that Joe had originally provided suggests that crime does pay! Plus P would be far more attracted to a younger man who had funds rather than an older 50+ Jerome who was debt laden. There's no evidence that he knew P was working for Joe. And his reaction to bash Joe makes sense if you accept that he wouldn't have recognised her in the dark anyway and simply reacted in a vigorous self defensive manner. He was pretty high and maybe the numerical (3 + 5) sex with P afterwards was just a case of like father like son.

So despite the credit reading Old Jerome I reckon this is LVT's way of covering up the twist else, why not call Charlotte G "Old Joe" in the credits?

I didn't think Pas looked 50 plus so I can't see him as Jerome...and I'm not sure Joe was pissed off with "Jerome" or her protégé the most. Either way, did she really have any motive to want to shoot either of them? Afterall - how many men did Jerome let her screw when they were together so why would she be jealous of him now? Perhaps she realised that it wasn't Jerome afterall and that contributed to her failure to operate the gun properly. Or maybe not...

Totally disagree with you but interesting plot. I've only seen it once. A daughter grows up and seduces her dad to get back for mom's death. Can't remember the name but came out in late 70's.
