Camera & operator in the bloody mirror

I just got done with the Director's Cut and was wondering if anyone else noticed (though it's hard not to) the shot of the mirror just before the chapter title "The Mirror". You can see the camera and its operator, plain as day, taking up the entire thing. Now I assume this is an oversight and that they'd intended to replace the image as shot with an image they'd wanted to use, but wouldn't you usually use green screen for that? Really bizarre. This is the VOD version, so it's not as if it's a leaked workprint.

I think that was on purpose, probably one of Trier's ways to break your immersion.

It was clearly not an oversight, it was an intentional "cameo in the mirror". Lars himself can be seen (wearing glasses).

I thought of it as a kind of interesting way to implicate the viewer. And lends more credence to the idea that so much of this is a fantasy retelling in Joe's head.
