Movies are weird.
I would be very careful about taking this too seriously.
I doubt it has any relevance to anything at all, and if it did it is only to a very small number of people.
People are forced by circumstances to do things like this, and so looking at a coerced person or a
brainwashed, confused, exploited of abused person is not right to generalize to anything real.
This kind of stuff is a waste to watch. Read a psychology book if you can find on. How would
anyone know anything about this subject, and how would be realistically put that into a fictional
character? The only thing about this movie is that it is kind of sick. So they tricked you into watching
it with sensationalism ... so why feel disgusted, they spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to
get people's attention and money ... it is Lars Van Trier's whole point in movies, if I spelled his name
right. He cannot make real movies so he makes these sick exploitation movies.
