Should I get the box set?

I never really intended to see this movie, although I really liked the first one. I just think that a sequel is totally unnecessary. But while I was going to buy the first one on Blu-Ray, I thought that maybe I should take the chance and wait for this one to come out (since I'm 90% sure we'll get a double pack) so I can just buy the set for just extra money. That is, if this one's worth a watch.

I mean, it doesn't look that bad. It's just that I think the original one should stand on its own.

The first one does stand on its own. In a way, so does the second one -- OK as a free standing movie. What doesn't work is viewing the second one as a sequel to the first. Too many inconsistencies arise when watching SWATH and following it with THWW. They don't mesh well at all. I would not get the box set, just the first IMHO.

Rest in peace, Roger Ebert. You were the best.

So is it good as a stand-alone movie? I could also just get the set like they do with Clueless and Mean Girls but they're not related (so I could pretend that SWATH and THWW are just two movies in one). But we'll see. Thanks for your answer

If you can forget that SWATH ever existed, it's a decent enjoyable movie.
