Finn (Sam Spruell) should have been in this film

Come, on, Ravenna's closest ally was her brother and Mr. Spruell is NOT reprising his role in a film that's supposed to be a prequel? Why? Even if the had a third sibling (something the first film didn't mention at all), she would be much closer to her brother and he would play a pivotal role in a power struggle between Freya and Ravenna.

Indeed, it surprised me the producers could simply ignore Revenna's very close brother in SWATH (in the portion of THWW occurring before the events in SWATH) and give her a sister instead -- and no one would notice?

Rest in peace, Roger Ebert. You were the best.

I think they left Finn out because Ravenna was helpping to her sister find her powers. She said all women have magic but Freya had not yet discover her. That was her most importat task. Finn was most likely leader of some the war mission so her kindom could expand. Then happened first movie and he died.
