trailer vs movie

When I watched the trailer, I thought this movie was going to be about two sisters fighting whole movie , but when I watched the actual movie it was quite the opposite.

They were searching for a mirror more than an hour and then at the end the sisters reunited and at the very end started 'kind of' fighting.

Basically, the trailer showed like 15 minutes of the end , rather than 2 minutes of the whole movie.

I know. I wish that there was more of a battle between the sisters. They should have let Emily Blunt get more badass with her magic, as I loved seeing her in a fantasy film. Freya should have got more punches in during the battle with Ravenna, aside from throwing a wave of spikes and then trying to freeze her through embracing her. Too bad she died though. The trailers lead us to believe that there would be a power struggle for a large part of the film, rather than just a minor battle at the end.

This so much.
I was disappointed how lack of creativity Freya wielded her power. Ice wall appearing two times within a movie was a sign of lazy writing. With a little plot adjustment Freya didn't have to die at all, I mean, it's not like she had no reason to be angry or her powers weren't able to defend herself.

The ice wall was more epic the second time round, but I did like the whole false visions thing because I didn't expect it as an ability from a cryokinetic.

Still, I wish she had gotten more creative and badass with her powers. Maybe that was the point? Freya was so sheltered and unsure of her powers that she didn't know a lot about them in order to use them. However I agree that she should have been able to defend herself better, as it seemed as if they acted to protect her i.e shielding her from Ravenna's spike, even though it went through. It seemed like Freya did it herself because she threw her arms up to shield herself, but I don't think she was too trained in combat to defend herself with ice like that.

For god's sake, freaking Elsa was more badass and could take care of herself despite not having any experience in combat and unwilling to hurt others until she was threatened.

I think it is more a sign of a far lower budget this time around. If you want it to look comparable to the last film in those moments then you need less of those moments when you have notably less money.
