Predictable but good
Yes its predictable in a sense but most movies are nowadays...just ideas from ideas from ideas. I enjoyed it I watched it twice in 24hrs and couldnt complain. There were a few questions I had but could reflect that to not seeing Snow White in over a year...like where is the queens brother since this was a prequel that turns into a sequel should he have been there in the beginning? The visuals were really good...dwarfs were funny, to the people not satisfied with the blood thirst of Freya..my opinion she is supposed to be fierce, she is full of pain and anger, despair...but who was she before? Unlike her sister she was not born evil did not love and live evil she was thrown into it by the betrayal of her love and the murder of her child. The goal of her army was an attempt to separate love from life and to obtain an endless supply of children to fill some type of void with her daughter's death. Early on it is clear Erick and Sara are her class pick due to their strength and abilities at war so in truth why would she really really want either dead? Throwing Erick away while re training Sara's heart/mind after showing them both the visual deceit with the ice wall was enough for her. It killed their love. When she later orders Sara to kill Erick in the woods as she takes the mirror she knows Erick was lead there by Sarah she knows she been training her and having her do terrible things for 7 years so an arrow to the heart that has been said she never misses would be plenty satisfaction as she still had her warrior she believed and now the mirror. I was disappointed with the ending...I didnt expect Freya to live or make a heartfelt turn around BUT the battle with the queens was weak it could have been bigger and Freya should have had more strength towards her sister as she was impaling her!!!
