What could have been.

Sooo I finally got around to watching this film, only after my brother bought it and lent it to me ...and I got to say I was a bit disappointed. The ice queen story had potential but they kinda glaze over her and then move her to the side till they could toss her back in the mix.

Before seeing this film I had a theory that At this point after having seen the movie ..I honestly wish they had done something like this.
In the previous version of this film evil queen had a brother ,Finn ..and I know there was a flashback that shows him as a kid (looking over that) , I honestly believe if they were going to mix these story lines with Freya and Finn having been Ravenna's brother and sister ..I thought it was going to all be a prequel for the sisters story line and then you find out that Ravenna would take her sisters power after she defied her or because she birthed a baby with the potential of being fairest of them all w/e...what better way to keep your powerful beautiful sister in check without killing her ..by turning Freya into Finn .. someone who is rather unattractive so it's unlikely beauty is anything for Ravenna to worry about ..it would make more sense as to why Finn was so interested in Snow (removing some of that creepy vibe) cuz deep down Freya would see her own lost daughter in Snow. The dialog between Finn and Ravenna " have I not given you all!" Scene would definitely have more weight ..it would even explain why they Choose Eric to be the Huntsman , even tho he seems more of a drunken fool at that point..they could have even kept what Finn had said about being the one who "killed" Sara as it was all Freya who was behind what happens with Eric and his wife. And you can keep his bleach white stupid hair and it would even make more sense. XP just saying ..the whole story of the winters war is just very jumbled, thrown together and a bit lost ..something like this might have created a smoother arc idk
