What Treasure Island version...

... is a good match for black sails. I've always been partial to the 1990 version http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100813/?ref_=nv_sr_3 with Christian Bale and Chuck Heston as Long John Silver.

Im always partial to the Newton classic, above all others.

I think the Charlton Heston version is the closest to the book.

The Disney one is....Disney.

And the newer one with Eddie Izzard makes a few modern interpretations that don't really suit the story.
But there are some cool bits in it.
Billy Bones is one....

I didn't mind the changes to the main story at all, even how they altered trelawney and livesy's characters. I actually liked how they expanded the journey, and showed what happens to mr. Arrow, as well as fleshing out the pirates a bit more. While the novel is great, many of the characters feel very flat and stereotypical. I loved all the performances, but captain smollett and israel hands really stand out to me. And, yes, billy bones.

Elijah Woods' Ben Gunn was pretty fantastic too.
