False advertisement at it's best (or worse)...light spoilers

The plotline has NOTHING to do with the actual movie, there's no mysterious creatures roaming around terrorizing seven strangers. The plotline was the only reason I bothered to give it a go, I didn't care about some Jacob's Ladder type storyline.

The producers did not like writer / director Andrew Hyatt final product. They tried recutting the picture without agreeing on a Final Cut. The advertising was changed instead. Arguing “it worked for Matt Damon’s Green Zone”
