The Phyllis Jackson case

What a strange story. I still find it hard to believe the mother started a rumor that her son and his cousin were gay lovers. I wonder if it has more to do with her son hating his mom so much that when he heard the rumors he just assumed she was the one spreading them, and that's what people were telling him that his mother was saying it. Usually you hear things like that about transgenders 'outing' a love interest and they get killed because of it, but in this case it was the mother.

Strangely though, I knew a transsexual that lived in a small town like Borger, TX, but even smaller in Louisiana who 'claimed' she dated men all the time that were unaware she's transgender and they never discovered the truth. I found that very hard to believe because like in this case the small town rumors spread fast, but she denied her family or the towns people ever said anything that would give her secret away.

Something else that was so strange about this case was the two boys kept going back to that Cedar Lake park for several days and kept re-igniting his mother's body since it didn't burn the first time they tried. Wouldn't there be campers in this park to notice that a burned body was in one of the fire pits? Weird, just really weird.
