A Baby Boomer's Wet Dream
What does a retired 70 year-old do with his boring life? Why, mentor and guide a hip bunch of progressive millennials and earn their acceptance, of course!
This movie was written by and for people who have no idea how to function unless they are valued by popular culture. The characters represent some weird, bizarro version of our world where conflict is never serious and requires no real resolution (Jules & husband, guy who slept with his girlfriend's roommate), consequences are avoided (other intern who moves in with De Niro after mom kicks him out), and accountability is never enforced (pretty sure Hathaway was required by her board of directors to hire a CEO, regardless of how she feels). I'd also like to know exactly what part of New York all of these utopian kids like be in, because I've never found it during my time there.
