Help on cheating scene?

I enjoyed watching this movie after recording it and was pleasantly surprised. Lately De Niro movies disappoint me, but this was above decent IMO.

My question is he sees the back of somebody with a green sweater entering the SUV and knows that this is Matt and he's cheating? Did I miss something, or was the scene cut short. All I saw was a green sweater enter the SUV and he and the film viewers are suppose to know it's Matt, and he's been caught cheating.

I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but somebody please tell me what I missed.

He sees Matt come out of Matt's house, get into a car with a woman and kiss her.

Thanks Billy, I didn't realize it was Matt's house, and I couldn't see them kissing in the car.

I could tell it was Matt. I didn't see a kiss either, but the fact that he supposedly was home sick, and instead was getting in a car with a woman -- I got the drift, just as DeNiro's character did.

It can't be- then explain why Ben doesn't pull into the empty spot and makes a right hand turn and then pulls up in front of Matt and Jule's house?

How is Matt gone and then back so suddenly and wearing a different shirt?

Ben drives Paige home and when they are right outside the house he sees Matt getting into a gray SUV and kiss a woman (you can see the kiss). The SUV pulls away and at this point Paige falls asleep. Ben then decides not to pull up to the house but rather drive around for a while to let Paige sleep (they don't show that, just him driving past the house). Then it cuts to a scene that probably happens an hour or two later where Ben pulls up to the house and brings the sleeping Paige inside. Matt having just had sex with his mistress presumably showered and changed clothes when he came back home so he wouldn't smell of sex/another woman's perfume. Ben then says to Matt "She fell asleep in the car so I let her get a nap in" which implies that some time passed between Ben seeing Matt kissing his mistress and him bringing Paige home.

That confused me also. De Niro is driving with the little girl to her home. Then he sees Matt coming out of a house in a green shirt. But then De Niro keeps driving and brings the girl home and Matt is in a different shirt.

Seemed like there was a problem with continuity.

OMG this scene bothers me beyond belief!!!!!! So horribly edited and doesn;t make any sense

1- NOT Jules and Matt's Brownstone, so why is Matt getting into the car with the other woman ?
2- Matt is wearing a green sweater, but then when Ben retruns Paige home, he is in a flannel
3- How are Matt and the other woman going anywhere ? Ben is clearly not far from Jules and Matt's home

This scene is just ridiculous , glad I am not the only one who doesn't "get it"
