Poor dude was probably just having a swish of mouthwash, he wanted to have nice breath for the boss. But she doesn't pay him well and he has to buy the cheap supermarket discount brand, and was too embarrassed to show everybody the brand, so he put it in a paper bag. Then some old geezer comes along and threatens to tell everyone he's drunk driving, and somehow ends up the hero.
The next day the same holier-than-thou geezer used the same car to break into someone's house and delete data from their laptop. As a consequence he gets to fly 1st class and spend the night flirting in bed with the boss, eating and drinking from the hotel minibar, all expenses paid.
Sounds fair to me.
Meanwhile the loyal driver who has been working for slave wages for 18 months, is still brushing his teeth with cheap supermarket toothpaste, carefully squeezing and rolling the tube so as not to waste any of it.
