Can Jessica Borrow A Page From Luke Cage?

Luke Cage is viral marketing itself to those already favorably predisposed to African-American culture via the music of hip hop, soul, rap and so on. It isn't waiting or depending solely on current fans of Daredevil to support the show.

Can Jessica do the same?
Jessica will have limited appeal to Punisher fans (those that like macho men who shoot big guns), but she may do very well with Kate Perry fans.

Basically groups that already are attracted to a strong independent female.
There are Jessica Jones fans that don't know Jessica exists. They just need someone to tell them about this woman.
So in season two really highlight a soundtrack of female music artists especially empowering or rebellious songs.

Just a thought. 😃

That is a terrible thought.

Great idea. Drop the breadcrumbs. I don't read comics and am not motivated to go see movies such as Iron Man and Civil War unless it's date night and I'm obligated. I happened to see Mike Colter on Wendy Williams, he talked about his show, and I followed those breadcrumbs which eventually led me here. Although, I liked Luke Cage and Daredevil this is my favorite. I'm not into Ninjas, constant fighting, and sticking sticks into Stick. That was gross. So if they attach some strong female ballads it will attract a different crowd.

 the queen has spoken so suck it! 

I'm not so sure about that.

For one thing, the Luke Cage show's style (not just the soundtrack) is partly an homage to blacksploitation in tribute of the time period the Luke Cage/Powerman comics were in their heyday. Secondly, if any female-fronted artist could represent Jessica Jones then it would be bands like Evanescence or maybe even Garbage.
