Should have Daredevil, not Luke Cage

Since this is in Hell's Kitchen, that's Daredevil's territory. Luke Cage belongs in Harlem. Bad writing.

reply

You know that Cage and Jones are together in the comics right?

That is why it makes more sense, they will eventually be together.

reply

No I didn't know that. I've not read either.

reply

I don't know about that.

In the comics, yeah, they are great together.

But in the show, with her having killed Reva, even though she under Kilgrave's control, I don't know how Luke could really get past it for them to end up together. I mean I could see the writers writing them that way, but it wouldn't make sense to me.

No more games. No more chessboard of life. Now I think I'm just going to beat the $%#@ out of you!!!

With all the stuff that Luke went through because he crossed into Jessica's world, it's understandable that he'd move uptown to Harlem and try to start anew there.

reply

Well Reeva basically scouted him for the experiment and was the reason for it. He even mentioned he can't love Reeva but he loves the idea of her. An he moved on twice in his show.

reply

Good point. I guess I could see them getting back together. I just think that what Jess did is still an issue. I guess it depends on how the writers write Jessica and Luke get back together.

reply

Yeah if they do want them together eventually then Luke has to tone down his love life a bit and they'll have to let him and Jessica work their way up to it.

It's not just Jessica killing Reva but the *beep* way she stalked Luke after, then slept with him under false pretenses etc. etc. They can work past all that but it can't happen over night.

That'd be enough to get me to take the 5 train up to Harlem and not look back. Even though yeah, Luke's also in a really bad place as far love interests, because on top of all the stuff that happened between him and Jessica, there was learning that Reva knew everything about the Seagate experiments.

reply

Agreed. Luke has a million reasons to want to put Jessica in his rear-view. But in many ways he's as damaged as she is so I can picture them working their way back together. My only point is it can't just happen without some sort of groundwork being laid.

Luke making peace with Reva for one.
Luke accepting that he can have more than a one-night stand (his speech to Pop).
Jessica similarly seeing her own value and letting herself have a real relationship.
Jessica mending a lot of fences with Luke to earn back his trust.

Oh and that little bit about her shooting him in the head probably should be discussed LOL

In time they'll probably be able to dismiss it as some sort of joke.

LOL

Someone update the Wiki definition of "bad writing" to include situations where some random viewer would have done something different.

Bad writing

Except for the fact that it's mentioned even in Luke Cage's show that he was living and working in Hell's Kitchen during the events of Jessica Jones before moving to Harlem.

reply

I did not know this, as I haven't seen the Luke Cage show and never saw the comics.

Thanks for clarifying.
