Loved the show but it was too many episodes

I still think it is the most sophisticated and groundbreaking comic book adapted series but the show's main flaw was too many episodes. Had the first season been 10 or even 12 episodes the pacing and momentum of the story would have been flawless.

The main issue also was once Hope died in "1,000 Cuts" the next episode should've been the showdown with Killgrave instead we ended up with 2 episodes before the showdown.

Agree. It just lead to way too many recycled plots imho. Either she won't kill Kilgrave, and people die and he gets away, or she says she's going to kill him, people die, and he gets away. Each was repeated for way too many episodes. But I guess this is more a fault of comic books.

It's still very early in the evolution of Netflix and especially for Marvel.

But yes. If they had made this show even a year or two later I bet Netflix wouldn't have held so strongly to the "you promised 13 episodes" and this season could have been a bit shorter. Or maybe Marvel were the ones that were steadfast on wanting 13 or something. But bottom line, as more and more shows are created for Netflix I think you'll see a lot less pacing problems. Though I didn't mind JJ's pacing too much I do see what others felt was an issue.

Regular TV and even films to a degree have certain restrictions/minimums etc that Netflix just doesn't have. If someone comes up with an amazing idea of Season 1 of Moon Knight or something that happens to be 7 episodes they'd make it without hesitating. Or if they have 13 episodes but 4 of them are about 30 minutes and two are nearly 90 or something. Netflix is really a coloring book with no lines at all.

Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
