It's still very early in the evolution of Netflix and especially for Marvel.
But yes. If they had made this show even a year or two later I bet Netflix wouldn't have held so strongly to the "you promised 13 episodes" and this season could have been a bit shorter. Or maybe Marvel were the ones that were steadfast on wanting 13 or something. But bottom line, as more and more shows are created for Netflix I think you'll see a lot less pacing problems. Though I didn't mind JJ's pacing too much I do see what others felt was an issue.
Regular TV and even films to a degree have certain restrictions/minimums etc that Netflix just doesn't have. If someone comes up with an amazing idea of Season 1 of Moon Knight or something that happens to be 7 episodes they'd make it without hesitating. Or if they have 13 episodes but 4 of them are about 30 minutes and two are nearly 90 or something. Netflix is really a coloring book with no lines at all.
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
