How many times was KillGrave captured then freed then captured then freed?
Felt like it was 3 or 4 times
They really should have limited this to 10 episodes instead of 13
13 was too much

A written Luke Cage subplot was pulled and they had to scramble to fill time.
Season one had deadline problems that likely won't be there in season 2.
Technically he was only "captured then freed then captured then freed" once. The he was captured one last time and killed.
But yes, they seemed to have trouble with the 13 episode template. Hopefully in future Marvel/Netflix series they'll write it first before committing to a set number of episodes. I think Netflix in general is getting more open to looser restrictions to season length or even individual episode lengths. I expect more projects will be contracted with language like "at least 8 episodes but no more than 13" or "episodes between 45 and 60 minutes in length" etc.
One of the best things about Netflix is that they can let the story determine how long each episode or season is. Within reason of course - they still want to provide content. But they're not limited like TV where they have to put commercial breaks in, hit exact episode lengths, provide a set number of episodes etc.
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
It did seem like she almost had him, and then totally lost him a lot. Too many times IMO. I found it really annoying.

The problem with Jessica Jones is that she NEVER thinks straight when it comes to Kilgrave.
shareThat's one of the reasons why I never liked Jessica as a character.

I like it for the same reason you dislike it - because it makes her a realistic person. See, most victims of abuse never do get the courage to confront or even turn in their abusers, much less snap their necks.

Same here. I think that's partly why I never finished watching season 1.

I agree, Stranger Things got away with a less-then-13-episodes season. They should've done the same here.
shareI posted this elsewhere:
Personally i think jj told the story better than dd and lc.
I do think there are flaws.
Jj living with kilgrave.
They should have explored kilgrave being a hero more instead of the lesbian lawyer interlude or kilgrave working with carrie an moss.
Less of the wonder twins and the addict neighbor.
