How can Daredevil be so good... And this...
This series is just not enjoyable... I'm trying to give it a chance... I just do not like this.

shareIt's different and as a result some people will not like it. That's okay.
This isn't supposed to be "female Daredevil" so it's okay if you liked Daredevil but don't like Jessica Jones.
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
To each their own.
I never bothered with the second season of DD, but I can't wait for this to come back.
Funny, I have the exact opposite view.

Right. Because that's every production company's goal. To create a show that people don't enjoy.
Jessica Jones was something to endure and it's why so many people hated season one.
That's probably a good point, it didn't end up being what I expected.
shareI loved daredevil, but I like this also, just not as well. like the other poster kind of said, this isn't suppose to be a female daredevil. they are completely different shows...they aren't really comparable...
shareDitto. I wanted to like it so much, and I liked the idea of the story, but the execution was off. And it was like every time they wanted to get to an idea in the story, they went about it all wrong.
And the lead was not, well, bad, but really didn't pull me in. I was left thinking Carrie Anne Moss 15 years ago would have had the acting chops for this.
And the subplots involving the secondary/tertiary characters really didn't pull me in, or they'd end up flawed (the Simpson/Walker realtionship for instance)
It was like if they had just done a 6 episode series about Kilgrave and bringing him in with us learning about Jessica (and developing her relationship with Luke) along the way, it would have been fine. Instead it just felt like it either meandered or floundered when it tried moving a lot of the time.
And in thinking about it, every character is so unbelievably miserable it's miserable to watch them. I know some people enjoy that type of entertainment, but I'm not one of them.

Daredevil is an action crime drama in vein of stuff like The Shield and Sons of Anarchy. Jessica Jones is a psychological thriller with fights ever so often and much more smaller in story it's more a character study.
I enjoyed both but Jessica had flaws in despite being very groundbreaking (it's great to see a comic book adapted series getting the kind of articles being written about and also receiving a Peabody award)
I'm trying to get into Daredevil, but I keep finding I'd rather watch other things instead. Like JJ.
Arthur, put the kettle on and dig out those lemon hand wipes.

I was hooked with Daredevil from the very first episode; I was simply wowed. Jessica Jones... it didn't grab me right away (and yes, I sure wasn't expecting it to be anything like the former) but it did get interesting and better with each episode. I do think it's far from perfect, albeit still impressive.
You want something corny? You got it!
Haha, it's the opposite for me. I find DD laughable, at time, but I still enjoy it. I like Jessica Jones much more though.
